Yatala Residents Alliance (YRA) yatala.info is a community voice surrounding topics of public interest that impact the lifestyle, health and environment of people residing near commercial developments in Yatala and Ormeau. YRA will never accept that residents should have to put up the unhealthy fallout from foul noxious industries, biomass green waste incinerators located closeby, and inappropriate dust, noise and vibration generated by nearby quarries.

YRA calls on Gold Coast City Council and the new Qld State Government to:

Bring back original industry separation zones. Currently the separation is ZERO.

Start proper policing of unsafe odour emissions from noxious industry

Stop supporting noxious industry both financially and by giving them contracts

Install dust monitoring stations so that everyone can quickly see how much dust is coming out of quarries

Stop compromising quarry separation zones. Stop deleting green zones from quarry land. Stop expecting residential land to act as a green zone
