Yatala Residents Alliance (YRA) is a community voice surrounding community topics such as inappropriate high impact noxious industries, biomass incinerators and dusty quarries that the council and state government have allowed to locate/expand and negatively impact on the lifestyle, health and environment of people residing and working near and around Yatala and Ormeau.

"The real problem we have here is the failure of the Council and the State Government to monitor and regulate these companies. When you look at the photos does it look as if they are doing the right thing by the community? We need permanent live air monitoring stations in Yatala and Ormeau that can be assessed by the general public via the internet, and we need the authorities to confirm that the dust and bio-aerosols being released into the air (all the way down to the Gold Coast) are not harmful to our health. "
